Be Glad.
Be Good.
Be Brave.
Eleanor Porter

Just before curtain opening night, with our 'floral tributes. Lovely Pammy looking shee-shee and me half-naked in my Birkenstocks.'
Michael McKeever, playwright just-right, (lest) 3/14/01 at my digs at cast housing seeing me do 'Wit'. His work is so thrilling, and I have been fortunate enough to do two readings of his plays, The Garden of Hannah List and The Velveteen Undertow. (Now Three! A Town Like Irving 8/15/01) When he came to visit, I got to read his latest wonderful work 'A Town Called Irving'. Michael has the most wonderful quality of being able to capture the everyday insanity of our everyday world.

'Donne aussi a mon corps, o genereux Remunerateur, la splendide clarite, la prompte agilite, la penetrante subilite, la forte impassibilite.'
Prieres de St. Thomas d'Aquin, tradiutes et presentees par M. l'Abbe Sertillage

'Most generous Rewarder! Endow my body also with splendid clarity, with prompt agility, with penetrating subtlety, with strong impassability.'
Eleonora Duse, The Mystic in the Theatre, by

In the midst of my staging concept for the open of 'Wit' -- Godzilla with an IV pole. When I showed it to Pam earlier, she said I had entirely too much time on my hands.

The brilliant actor, most good and gracious, Ron Siebert ( just off set during performance of 'You Can't Take It With You').
From the Mac of Ron Siebert
Dear Kim, When I was a young lad visiting New York City I had the extreme good fortune to see two shows: HOME, starring John Gielgud and Ralph Richardson, and THE GREAT WHITE HOPE, starring James Earl Jones. It was a time in my life when I was wrestling with the notion of trying to be an actor and I was going through all the angst associated with trying to make a realistic decision as to what I thought my future could be. Seeing those three great actors perform was just what I needed at the time to steel my resolve to go-ahead and be an actor. Watching them gave me something to aspire to - it showed me what acting could be, and what a wonderful thing it was. Now we cut to 2001, many years later, and I have the same sensation I had then of taking great joy and pleasure in watching someone perform. Than someone. of course, being you. Your portrayal of Olga Katrina amazes me every night. You have such wonderful skill and have made such vivid and colorful choices that I am never anything less than thrilled to be on the same stage with you. Beyond that you have the one quality I consider most important for an actor which is simply having fun. Taking pleasure in the work and sharing that pleasure with all those around you. That's what it's all about. You are unselfish in the extreme and become so much more important as a result of that. I now have something more to aspire to. Acting, I think, is open heart surgery. You are the chief surgeon. Thank you dear one.
Ron Siebert 3/9/01 PS Best of luck with WIT.
